About Candy Ashdown

Having lived in the Fraser Valley and the Lower Mainland her entire life, Candy brings a genuine affection for both the people and place. Now serving as both a licensed Realtor® and David Smith Homes Group’s ‘Licensed Client Experience Specialist’, she brings a wealth of knowledge to their clients.

With a diverse background prior to entering the industry eight years ago, Candy now has over twenty-five years of dependable expertise in administration, communications, marketing, design, and education. With real attention to detail and passion for constant improvement, she brings these strengths and more to the team.

Candy resonates with the ‘People Over Property, Always’ philosophy of the team and has found avenues to express that sentiment through business, non-profit, and municipal involvement. Anyone who has worked with Candy will tell you that besides her expertise and deep understanding of the real estate market, Candy always makes her clients’ needs her top priority and works tirelessly on their behalf.

Continuous professional development is important to Candy to provide the most value to her clients. She carries the additional real estate designations of MCNE® (Master Certified Negotiation Expert) and SRES® (Seniors Real Estate Specialist).

In her ‘spare time’, Candy is currently serving her second elected term as Trustee on the Langley Board of Education, where she is honoured to hold the position of Chair of the Board.

Never forgetting family, Candy married her high school sweetheart over twenty-eight years ago, with whom she has raised two grown, amazing daughters who are each now pursuing their own educations and careers. You’ll often see them out thrifting or enjoying a movie together. Candy also enjoys entertaining and cooking for family and friends.
